Well I am back from a much needed vacation. We spent some time in Florida and then a Cruise to the lands of sun and sea, Key West Florida, Grand Cayman Island and then Jamaica. It was a great time and lost of needed stress reduction.

I am working on my new calender for January for Stampin' Up, I will be doing 2-3 classes a month. I will be doing a Canvas class and scrapbook classes, I love doing scrapbooks and after a vacation and Christmas it is going to be fun to put my memories down on fun pages. My calender is on the Stampin' UP site: LisaMeyers.stampinup.net Check it out. Thank you

Friends

Friday night found me in my stamp room with Friends making this Christmas 9x9 flip album. We had lots of fun and enjoyed making a great present to give to friends and family.

When we were done with the photo book, I showed off my scrapbook page. This page was created after seeing a page similar to this in a sales catalog for "cheep stuff" - I looked at it and felt I could make this page more sophisticated and fun. It is a very girlie page but it is nice...

Saturday night my family came over for dinner and we had a good time. We played games and ate lots of turkey, yummy!!!! This is my nephew Zach, at age 4 he is lots of fun and full of energy.

Sunday was a day with friends and spending money.....A pampered chef party. Now I have not been to one in years and well this was fun and I did spend some money. Forgot to by scrappers the one item I wanted. Guess I will have to buy more later.

Well I am leaving for a much needed trip this week so my blog will be behind. I will be in Florida and will have lots to post with pictures when I come back. Have a Great Thanksgiving.

Saturday in November

Well it has been a while since I have updated my blog, it has been a crazy time. My dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer and well I had to put stamping on the back burner for a while, mostly to process what was happening. Now I need Stampin' UP and my other family, they make me laugh and smile and well this is the best way to deal with stress that I know.

I did some tiles last week to give to some friends- I used Viola and had a great time making these tiles. Laura taught me some great cooking ideas and tricks of the trade and Jessie is her helper, or should I say the Greatest helper, Jessie is also a Green Bay Packers fan so her tile is in her team colors.

So with this said I did have a class on Friday night, a Christmas Card Crank and we had fun, I had a new lady there Stephanie and she had fun and did a great job, I hope she continues to come out and make great cards with us. I do have to thank Christy S. for helping me "come up" with some great card ideas. I did add to one and well the other was perfect and they were a big hit, Thank You. At this time I will have to give Kim lots of credit she has been very instrumental in teaching me what to do as well as believing that I do have creativity. Yes I did use her cards as well for class and they too were a big hit.

So next week I am having a 9x9 Accordion Album, Christmas Style. This class is going to be great! Now I just need my stuff to get here, if it does not I will make some great scrapbook pages. It seems that the stamping world feel for the I Wish Simply Scrappin Kit which I can understand. So now I look out for the UPS guy and wait.....

Election Day

So as I sit here and type I am listening to the election in the background and thinking: November 5th will be a day of history and yes the political adds will stop. YEA!!!!
This week is a crazy week for me, I have doctors appoitments and class projects to create as well as to cut lots of paper for a workshop on Friday. To add to the craziness is a cooking class and an Opera (for which I do not have a dress for). So I see a mall in my future, come Sunday I will just relax-after my class at Kim's house. My goal this week is to get some project pictures up as soon as I make them.

A few reminders:
I have a Christmas card class on November 14th at 6:30pm- this is sure to be fun- plus lets face it Christmas is around the corner so why not get the cards made now.

November 21 at 6:30pm - I will be teaching a 9 x 9 Accordian album, this is so stickin cute and makes a great gift.

Well its time to watch the VOTE

October 26th, 2008

Good evening,
Well I have not written in awhile due to much family stuff going on. It seems that my Dad (the man who is my hero) was diagnosed with lung Cancer, a stage 2 so not as bad as it could be, this can be fixed surgically so I am not as scared. We meet with doctor's next month and I will fill you in at that time. For now all is status quo.

I have been busy with Stampin' Up and doing classes and developing projects, most are from Kim VanDiepen (she is a great mentor and I Thank you); some I am working one are well in my head so it may be awhile before I get them out. Tonight I will try to post some pictures I have taken of projects I have done. This could be fun or a tragic end to me trying to post pictures. Hopefully I will pull this off.

As for my friends, Thank you, it is great to realize that when you hurt your friends are the only think that can make you laugh or cry. It is you, my friends that are making everything OK. Thank you.

The Canvases are good friends, Val and Marty Bazzar ( that is there last name), I made these for Val for her office and well she is a damn good friend. The pumkins were a lot of fun, took the template from the Stampin' Up site and I thought they were stinkin cute as well as easy to make.

Sunday Football

Well today is football Sunday and as I am listening to a game I am writing Thank you notes to everyone who helped make Stamps for the Cure a Great Event. As many of know this eveent was held Saturday October 4. We had lots of ladies there and it seems that every one was having fun. We did raise lots of money for Susan G. Komen, I am not sure of the totals, but I think we surpassed last years donations. So to my friends again I Thank you for your support.

I am getting ready to update my calender for Stampin' UP I am having 2 classes this month. Upsy Daisy class: we will make 6 cards from one stamp set and a box to keep them in. It will be lots of fun and we are using an awesome set. This class is on October 17 @ 6:30pm.

Next class is a scrapbook class, I have yet to decide if it will be a 9x9 flip album for Christmas or some pages. I need to see how many ladies will sign up and what they would like to do. This class is on October 26th at 2pm, and no the Broncos are not playing that day, its a bye week.

So far that is all I have for this week, my goal is to learn how to down load pictures into this new computer so that I can place some on this site. For many of you who know me this is a big step in the tech world for me, Rik is even impressed that I got this far.

Well I need to finish the laundry and update my Stampin' Up site so may your day be full of joy and fun.

My First ever Blog

OK, today is the day that I conquer the computer, for years I have let it conjure me, but no more! I feel that as a nurse I can think pretty well and conjure fears that are unthinkable so why not a computer, so here I am playing on a blog site and well I think I did it.
I started this site to also talk about my day and well lets face it brag about my stamping. Yes stamping, I have started to become a pretty good Stamper and am a demonstrator for Stampin' UP, so this site is to help me show off my talent and get feed back on the good, the bad and yes the ugly. My goal is to figure out how to put pictures in this week so give me some time I should get there.
Well that is all I have for tonight, I need to cut some paper and well do the laundry, yes I have to keep house as well as create- darn (not sure about bad language here, people who know me will be surprised to see not dirty words).

Good Night
Lisa
