Well once again I let March go by so fast and just now realized that April is 30 minutes away. With that said I hope everyone had a great March! I have done my class list for April; I will be out of town for a week, which is causing me to have to bunch classes up at the end of the month. My goal is that the open house will allow me to get some projects done and ready for class!

I am even more excited about the Bird Book!! This is one of my very favorite projects. We will be using Chip Board and the Bella Bleu DSP. You do not want to miss this class, this is a great gift for Mother's Day (hint).

Now for a SAVE THE DATE: October 2, 2010 is Stamping for the Cure!!!

This is our yearly fundraiser to help STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER! For a donation of $20you will make 6 card, if you register before September 1, after that day the price is $25.We will also have a silent auction, food, door prizes and education about breast cancer. I hope you will be able to come and help us raise money to one day find a cure for breast cancer.

Now for some Work stuff:

If you would like to have a workshop this month please call me and we will plan a great one for you and your friends.

Behind Again

It seems that no matter how hard I try I am never ahead of the game. This month has been crazy and yes I have been behind the eight ball. Let me explain: I make the birthday cards for the employes of the ER that work in and well I seem to have forgot that people were born in March. So 1 week into the month I started making the cards. Below is a card that I made (I did see one very similar on line and really loved the look), and since I have a hard time with "boy" cards this one fit the bill.

The supplies I used were: the Sense of Time stamp set (113804), Sage Shadow card stock, Naturals Ivory card stock, Black card stock, Black Craft Ink, Black Classic Ink, Chocolate Chip Classic Ink (for sponging of course), To The Nines DSP (114038), Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109027). For the finishing touch I used some Hodgepodge Hardware (and yes it is retired, just could not get the Styled Vanilla or Silver to work). I hope you like this card. The feedback from the "boys" at work has been very good.

Then to make my week even better I had a Shoebox Swap, now you maybe asking yourself "how is that a problem, you have time to get your act together". Well that is true for many of you out there, however it seems that I have been very unorganized. I started creating my Shoebox Swap (and once again I got some inspiration from casing others work) then went off to work, spacing out the fact that I had a swap to do. So Monday (the day of the swap) as I was drinking coffee and well playing games on fb I remembered that I had a swap so I began cutting paper for 25 cards, I had to make 13 card fronts and have everything together for the rest to be made there (this means gathering the supplies and making sure people can create this card with out to much difficulty. Well I got done with everything at 4:10 p.m.. The swap was at 5:30 p.m. so I made it! Did I mention that it was snowing outside as well:)

The supplies I used were:
Not Quite Navy card stock, Bella Bleu DSP (113974), Kraft Paper, Naturals White, 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Soft Suede Classic Ink, Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, Le Jardin Botanique stamp set (113232). I colored the flowers with Stampin' Write Markers.

I loved that card so much that tonight I played around and made some more birthday cards using the same concept. And yes there is Shimmer Spray involved, lots of it!!!

I hope you like my projects this week! Please contact me for instructions and more information on these cards if you would like to make them.
