Well today I have no pictures to share- I finally got the program I needed to make Vista work with Outlook, so today I was reading email and getting caught up that way. I did begin to play with my Corel Paint Shop Pro x2 program and was having fun with that. I am getting to understand how these things work, for me this has been a long road -I am not the computer girl so slowly I am taking the steps needed to get there. This week I am having a canvas class so next Sunday there will be pictures to post.
Have a good week

A Day of Card Making

Well today I decided to make some cards, so I headed downstairs to "craft world" and set out to crate great things. I had my cup of coffee and the T.V. was set to the football game. I then settled in for a marathon session in card making. I felt that I have neglected my friends and have not sent out anything since Christmas so I have lots of making up to do. This card will get sent to my in-laws, they sent my husband some bread pans that have been in his family for many years. I water colored this card, then I distressed it, I used Urban Garden Paper, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and So Saffron inks. I rummaged through my collection of gadgets and bling and this is what came out. I like it and think it has a great look to it.

This next card was made for a friend of Rik's, he gave us some wine that he makes at his vineyard in California. The wine was great so I felt he deserved a card. I did use a stamp that has retired, but it was most appropriate for this situation. Some times you have to look in your closet and see what is there.
I then decided to make a card for a friend of mine, and well this was a quick card to make and I kept it all to two colors; Basic Grey and Whisper White. I did add some bling with the Build a Brad and used some Bravo Burgundy to make the brad. I had to color the ribbon to get the color i wanted. A fast card to make and it looks great!

My next card of the night came out of the Stampin'UP Catalog, I feel in love with this card and felt I can do it. With the help of my friend Christy I was able to figure it out. I did use craft ink to do the vase portion then embossed it, this gave it an antique look. I did water color the rest of this card, I love to water color it makes be just go off into a world all my own. The hardest part of the card is deciding what colors to use!!!
The last card I made had a rooster on it!!!! For those who know me they understand that I have a love of Roosters, so this set is my new favorite. I used the cooper paper and embossed it with a clear embossing powder, then I embossed the Bella Rose Designer Paper as well as black paper. I did use a none Stampin'Up ribbon in this project. I still love the look, it reminded me of France lots of the same colors are used in many home kitchens and that was the look I trying to get.
So my overall day was a good one, and I may even continue to play in "craft world" tonight and see what else I can come up with.
